The 11th edition of Pitti Taste, the fair dediacated to Italian excellence in taste and food lifestyles, is returning from March 7–9 at the Stazione Leopolda.
Presented by Pitti Immagine, Taste showcases products from more than 340 leading Italian companies in the international food world.
The fair is a journey in the planet of food, wine, objects and ideas, mixing tradition and innovation, different trends and schools of thought, professional techniques and equipment, food & kitchen design.
This edition’s theme is a lively, colorful atmosphere of a country festival with bright lights and green installations A country festival that will animate the Stazione Leopolda, the Alcatraz and the brand new Teatro dell’Opera location, the latter being two new locations of the fair.
The fair is divided in four parts, Taste Tour, Taste Tools, Taste Shop and Taste Ring and Taste Events.
Taste Tour is the tasting itinerary of the products presented by the over 330 participating companies. A journey filled with discoveries, traditions and innovations from hand-processed pasta made by Italy’s leading pasta manufacturers to the best craft beers to the most curious new ideas such as goose bresaola, truffle chips, Bellini fruit compote and chocolate-and-chili pepper biscuits and more.
Taste Tools is the area devoted to food and kitchen design items – tools for the chef and anyone who loves to cook: clothing, technical and professional equipment for the kitchen; the 10 brands at this edition are: A.D.A By Mokarico, Fresco, Interno 22, La Marzocco, Mario Luca Giusti, Molino Rossetto, Parentesiquadra, Ratafia’ Firenze, RegalPack, Tablecloths.it.
Taste Shop is the store featuring exclusive foods where you can buy the products displayed along the way. At the last edition of the fair, 1,850 products, almost 40,000 articles in the catalogue and more than 22,000 items were sold.
Taste Ring & Taste Events. The protagonists of the world of food will tackle the hottest topics associated with the contemporary table, interpreting the latest ideas and anticipating future trends. The arena presents a program of events including exhibitions, book presentations, cooking competition.
To facilitate working the fair, Taste has set aside a dedicated time frame just for members of the trade: the morning of Sat. 12 and Sunday 13 March, from 9.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.
The fair is also open to the public from 2:30 to 7:.30 p.m. on these days and from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, 14 March.
